Pie & Pint Night, Thursday 6th February

Join us in raising emergency funds for the Australian wildlife rescue Wires on Thursday 6th February at The Crown in Hutton-Le-Hole, North Yorkshire from 7pm.

Tickets include a choice of three pies: steak pie & mushy peas - homemade fish pie & peas - turkey ham and leek pie & peas. Drinks: a pint of beer/lager or, a small glass of house wine or, any soft drink.

Tickets £13 per person.

The Newburgh Priory Christmas Fair 2018 (past event)

Around 25 makers gathered for this unique Christmas Fair. The Ampleforth School Choir filled the dining room with their dulcet tones, Whisky Mac's were drunk and many a sausage roll eaten during the reception evening. On the Friday, artist illustrator, Ed Kluz, chatted and read from his book 'The Lost House Revisited' to a room full of lovely ladies. Followed by an afternoon of wreath making hosted by Manor Garden Flowers. And on Saturday morning The Gingerbread House entranced a group of children with a gingerbread house workshop. All whilst the exhibitors were working hard talking and selling to customers. All jolly and prosperous three days spent.


In support of juvenile idiopathic arthritis, the event raised £1,197.59.

The Newburgh Priory Christmas Fair 2017

An intimate Christmas fair held in the historic Newburgh Priory situated within the picturesque landscape of the Howardian Hills near Coxwold, North Yorkshire. Open to the public only three months a year; the fair is a great opportunity to enjoy one of Yorkshire’s seldom seen country houses and Christmas shop in style. The fair is in support of juvenile idiopathic arthritis.  2018 dates: 29th, 30th November & 1st December.

The Legacy of British Involvement in Afghanistan

Talk by freelance, photojournalist, Kate Holt. Regular Guardian contributor and nominated twice for the Amnesty Award for Humanitarian Reporting; this is a unique opportunity to hear a raw and unflinching talk about the realities of the Afghanistan conflict and long term impact on the landscape and people.

Proceeds from this event were donated to Team Rubicon

Pop-Up Shop at AVW Antiques

Tuesday 6th December (6-9pm) & Wednesday 7th December (10am-5pm)

AVW Antiques, Counting Lambs and STELLA CUSHIONS joined forces creating an eclectic and original collection of antiques, eiderdowns & cushions, as well as, illustrated cards by Lindsay Madden & Susan Brunskill and silk dressing gowns from Alice & Astrid's new collection.

Raising over £600 for Wharf Kids, a small charitable trust, supporting children that have been affected by Ebola living in one of Freetown's poorest neighbourhoods.

A selling exhibition for East Yorkshire based artist, Mima Urquhart. A huge success with 75% of the pictures sold. 

Newburgh Priory Christmas Fair 2013 - 2015

Over 35 exhibitors took part in the fair with 95% North Yorkshire based. During the three years the fair raised over £10,000 for juvenile arthritis.
